I've always had a soft spot for print so I was incredibly excited to work on this project. The client wanted a warm, friendly, hometown feel. My concept "Home is Where Our Heart Is" seemed like the perfect fit. I created original text for overlays on the large photos throughout the book for a personal touch. I tied it all together with the placement of small state icons pinned with a heart in each story to represent the reach of the company's community engagement. Community Investment Report is an annual report on the company's philanthropy and volunteerism in the communities they serve. I've always had a soft spot for print so I was incredibly excited to work on this project. The client wanted a warm, friendly, hometown feel. My concept "Home is Where Our Heart Is" seemed like the perfect fit. I created original text for overlays on the large photos throughout the book for a personal touch. I tied it all together with the placement of small state icons pinned with a heart in each story to represent the reach of the company's community engagement. As the communications member of the team I was tasked with creating a new campaign theme that would encourage employees to participate in United Way related events. I wanted to evoke a sense of playfulness and fun into the theme. I kept the color pallet bright and played off a midwest idiom—You Betcha! The campaign was a huge hit, with employees donating nearly $1 million to our local United Way chapter.
